Solution Overview

During operation, transformers are subjected to electromagnetic forces and mechanical stresses, causing the core, windings, and operating mechanisms to generate acoustic vibrations and produce mechanical waves. These acoustic signals, transmitted through insulating media and cavities, contain a wealth of information about the equipment's condition. When defects or faults occur, internal components or structures undergo mechanical deformation, altering the acoustic emission pattern, which can serve as an important characteristic parameter for diagnosing defects and faults.

The acoustic emission online monitoring system primarily consists of magnetic acoustic emission sensors, acoustic emission acquisition devices, and a backend server. The system can accurately monitor and warn of various abnormal operating conditions of transformers, such as winding deformation, DC bias magnetization, and core loosening.
